Introduction

Anoushka is a brilliant classical dancer who performs Odissi dance. Owing to disordered eating habits and personal issues, she ended up binging on high-calorie food alternatives for months and gained a lot of weight after her graduation.

Through hard work and determination, Anoushka lost 12 kilos and won back an amazing body and a new sense of confidence in herself. Unique Challenges

Given her background in classical dancing, Anoushka’s journey was different from most other clients we had and presented unique challenges.

We had to ensure her diet had enough calories to provide sufficient energy for her dancing while making sure she was losing fat. We paid special attention to her carbohydrate intake and hydration levels, as we needed to make sure her body was nourished enough for both workouts and dancing.

Another notable aspect of Anousha’s nutrition plan was that she wanted a completely vegan diet plan throughout her transformation period. A lot of planning went into making sure she was completely satisfied with her diet and workout.

We checked on her diet and routine daily to monitor her progress and to see if there was any sign of weakness or overexertion. This made any necessary changes easy to apply and she could easily communicate any problems she might be facing.

Apart from regular workouts, she also required a stretching routine mandatorily, as required by her dancing guru. Balancing every aspect was a difficult task, but with constant attention from my side and persistence from her side, she proved that it was indeed possible.

Mentoring and Motivation

Anoushka embodies drive and determination, this was proved during her fitness journey repeatedly as she worked on her mental health while paying attention to her fitness at the same time.
While working with her, we made sure to pay close attention to her mental health and wellness. There were times she found it difficult to remain motivated and feel confident in her body. However, with the proper motivation from my end and honesty and perseverance from her end, we made sure Anoushka’s fitness journey went smoothly.
So we see that in Anoushka’s case, psychological counseling and guidance were given equal importance, and sometimes even precedence over her workout and nutrition plans. At the end of three months, she not only had a body she could flaunt but also saw a huge boost in her self-confidence as well.
