Diet and Fitness Plans

Being a football player, Dr. Sayam already had incredible heart health and endurance but was unimpressed by the lack of progress in his efforts to gain muscle. This was when he reached out to the coaching team at Optimum Wellness. We provided him with the necessary diet changes and devised a workout plan that would work for him.

The focus with Dr.Sayam was a high-calorie diet, specifically concerning nuts, fruits, red meat and healthy amounts of fat. He was given multivitamins and creatively consumed his nutrient dense heavy calories in the form of healthy milkshakes or smoothies. His diet also included copious amounts of white rice and legumes. Peanut butter, whole eggs and cream.

Dr. Sayam’s workout routine included consistent weight training six days a week. Each part of the body was focused on specific days leading to a continuum of muscle development and body fat elimination.

All of these efforts paid off when the result spoke for itself. Dr. Sayam gained around 11 kilos spanning across the duration of 6 months, which is a feat in itself. His consistency and willpower towards achieving his goal bore fruit.


Mentoring

Weight gain has its slew of issues. Healthy weight gain takes time. If you understand that going in, you’ll be much less likely to get frustrated and quit before your body has time to respond to your new way of eating and training.

We set small, achievable targets to ensure Dr. Sayam didn’t lose track and motivation. However, it wasn’t possible had he not made it a point to keep his focus on the bigger picture and the result that he sought.
